Let’s just get this out of the way…
Yes.
Every week.
Without fail.
I don’t just talk about productivity.
I don’t just teach time management.
I live and breathe the DROP System. And it’s the only reason I’ve got the life I do now.
But let me be brutally honest: I didn’t always.
And I definitely didn’t build it to share with anyone.
DROP was never a business idea.
It wasn’t a framework.
It started as survival.
Now it’s the rhythm I run everything from—and yeah, I practise what I preach.
Every week.
Three Businesses. One System. Thirty Hours.
Most people think you can’t run multiple companies and still have a life.
But here’s my reality:
- I run three businesses
- I hold voluntary board roles
- I write books, coach clients, host events
- And I do it all in around 30 hours a week
Sometimes a little more.
Sometimes a little less.
Because that’s real life.
DROP isn’t a perfect system in a perfect world.
It’s the structure that makes imperfect weeks still feel like progress.
I Work With My Kids, Not Against Them
I’m a dad to two young daughters.
And they’re the reason this system exists.
When my first was born, I told myself that bedtime stories and a quick cuddle meant I was doing a good job.
But I was absent.
There… but not really there.
When my second daughter was born during the pandemic, everything changed.
I gave up my paternity leave to work remotely—only to return and find I’d been replaced.
That was the breaking point.
And the turning point.
DROP became the system I built not just to cope—but to be present for them.
Now?
- I work around school drop-offs and pickups
- I’m there for the little moments, not just the big ones
- I protect time for family like my life depends on it—because it does
When it comes to productivity, I’m not perfect, nobody is.
But I come damn close.
And I owe that to the system I created.
Every Friday, I Run My DROP
Without exception.
It doesn’t matter if I’ve had the best week or the worst.
I still:
- Dump everything out of my head
- Review what matters this week
- Offload what I shouldn’t be doing
- Plan my week around priorities and energy
It’s not optional.
It’s not occasional.
It’s the reason I stay in control.
I don’t just tell my clients to do this.
I do it—every Friday afternoon—before I finish for the week.
This Isn’t About Hustle. It’s About Rhythm.
I’ve done the hustle.
- 6am–6pm in the office
- Always on call
- Never off the clock
- No time for lunch, let alone life
I’ve lived that burnout cycle more times than I’d like to admit.
Now?
- I work in focused blocks
- I plan around energy, not effort
- I protect my mornings for deep work
- I structure meetings in alignment with when I show up best
That’s what it means to practise what you preach.
Not to hustle harder—but to work smarter.
To build a business that fits your life, not the other way around.
DROP Isn’t Just a Tool—It’s My Operating System
I use DROP for everything:
- Running my companies
- Planning client delivery
- Managing content and marketing
- Structuring board-level strategy
- Tracking goals
- Even deciding which events and meetings are worth my time
Every decision gets filtered through the rhythm of DROP.
It’s not a bolt-on.
It’s the foundation everything else stands on.
I Still Use It Because Life Still Happens
Some people think once you “figure out productivity,” you’re set.
You’re not.
- Life shifts.
- Priorities change.
- Chaos creeps in.
- Kids get sick.
- Deadlines collide.
- Energy dips.
And if you don’t have a system that adapts with you?
You’ll fall apart all over again.
I still use DROP because I still have a full, busy, unpredictable life.
Not despite it.
Integrity Isn’t Optional—It’s the Whole Point
There’s no point building something for others that you don’t use yourself.
If I stopped running DROP each week, everything would slip:
- My focus
- My mental clarity
- My boundaries
- My ability to lead
- My ability to switch off
That’s why I won’t stop using it.
Because it works.
Not because I teach it—but because it saves me time, energy, and sanity every single week.
Want the Same System I Use to Run It All?
No hype. No nonsense.
Just a system that works in real life, with real pressure, and real responsibilities.
If you’re tired of being told to “just work harder”…
If you’ve tried other systems that fell apart after a week…
If you want a rhythm that respects the life you actually live…
Then DROP is it.
